Elena Evanoff graduated in 1992 from the University of Calgary.
She has shown in numerous galleries over the past 30 years.
Her main focus continues to be the female form. 
From textured palette knife pieces to soft sensual blurs , her work explores unique processes to describe the human figure.
She generates images from both photo reference and imagination to create ethereal, delicate and powerful nudes.
Her approach has lead the work to a sort of disrupted realism. She uses a combination of sometimes wild marks and drips to a more refined passage of higher description.
