Known for her familiar depictions of houses and buildings in

and around Calgary, Harris’ architectural paintings emerge out of her own form of hyper-pigmented realism. Her renderings of these spaces/places exist somewhere between a memory and reality, allowing the viewer to be gently lulled into a nostalgia that is not of that overly sentimental kind but in that you see these houses and buildings in their present and contemporary incarnation as preturnatural - outside of their naturally existing state.
